Privacy Policy

Last revised: 12 June 2026

This policy explains how Coachgear Furniture Sdn Bhd (Company Reg. No. 202201021837 (1462950-M), "Coachgear", "we", "us") handles personal data collected through coachgear.my, by phone, by WhatsApp, by email and on our premises in Muar, Johor. We process personal data in accordance with the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010 ("PDPA").

1. What we collect

When you send an enquiry, request a quote or place a commission, we may collect: your name, phone number, email address, delivery address, the details of the project you describe to us (room measurements, photographs of your space, budget indications), and payment references for deposits and balances. If you visit the showroom, CCTV operates on the premises for security purposes.

2. Why we collect it

We use your data to respond to enquiries; prepare sketches and quotations; manufacture, deliver and install commissioned pieces; administer warranties and after-care; issue invoices and receipts; and comply with tax, accounting and other legal obligations. If you ask us to, we will also notify you when swatch sets or timber options relevant to your enquiry become available — this is optional and can be stopped at any time.

3. What we do not do

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We do not use your project photographs in marketing without your written permission. We do not send bulk marketing messages: any follow-up you receive from us relates to an enquiry or commission you initiated.

4. Who we share it with

Data is shared only where the work requires it: with our delivery and installation crew; with insured transport partners for East Malaysia deliveries (name, phone number and delivery address only); with payment providers to process deposits; and with professional advisers or authorities where the law requires disclosure. All partners are bound to use the data only for the delivery of that specific service.

5. How long we keep it

Enquiry records that do not become commissions are deleted within 24 months. Commission records — including drawings, specifications and warranty details — are kept for 7 years after delivery, matching the life of our structural warranty and statutory record-keeping requirements, then securely destroyed.

6. Security

Records are stored on access-controlled systems available only to staff who need them for their work. Paper drawings and job sheets are kept on the premises and shredded at the end of the retention period.

7. Your rights

Under the PDPA you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask for corrections, withdraw consent to further processing, or limit how we contact you. Write to [email protected] or post to Lot 6, Jalan Perindustrian Bukit Pasir 3, Kawasan Perindustrian Bukit Pasir, 84300 Muar, Johor, Malaysia. We respond to data requests within 21 days.

8. Cookies

Our use of cookies on this website is described separately in the Cookie Policy.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, the revised version will be published on this page with a new revision date. Material changes affecting active commissions will be communicated directly.
